Class Etiquette & Hygiene
- Refer to all Instructors as “Coach” and Black Belt Instructors as “Professor
- Classes
begin
with students lining up in descending rank order with the senior most
ranked student leading the warm up.
- Classes
end with students lining up in descending rank order for Instructor
dismissal.
- At
all time, keep a respectful posture in the gym. No lying down on the
mats.
- During
Class, when the instructor is demonstrating the techniques, every
student must
sit in a position of base. No standing is allowed.
- If
you are late sit by the side of the mat and wait for the Instructor’s
permission
to join the class.
- If
you need to leave the mat or leave class early you must ask permission
from the
Instructor.
- Shake
hands with your partner before and after practice and at the beginning
and end
of each sparring session.
- Talking
should be kept to a minimum level and should relate to the class
subject.
- Absolutely
no foul language inside the school.
- Do
not belch inside the school.
- Keep
finger and toe nails short for everyone’s safety.
- To
the best of your ability shower before class in order to
avoid spreading
germs and viruses prevalent in a skin on skin contact sport.
- All
students must wear the official Next Generation uniform. **
- The
Uniform represents your rank and progress and must be worn at all times.
Keep
it on. **
- The Uniform MUST be washed before each training session. A dirty uniform is a sign of disrespect.**
- During
class, no items such as hats, beanies or gloves may be worn at anytime.
- All
metal objects, jewelry, piercings, earrings, necklaces or other such
items must
be removed.
- No
shoes, food or drinks on the mat.
- No Cell Phones on the mat area. They must remain inside your bag and silenced.
